1908: Traveled to Paris, accompanied by her aunt, to study art. Visited the Salon d'Automne to view the Fauvist work of Henri MAtisse, Andre Derain, Albert Marquet. She enrolled at La Palette, a school that taught painting in the fauvist style.

Biographical Notes
The Fauvists earned their name from their bold use of color and abstractions/distortions of recognizable forms. They were given the name"Fauves" (wild beasts).
